Apologies for the lapse in postings (away travelling) but as you'll see there's been plenty of activity on the
Facebook page with loads of good tips on the Wall and and some fantastic videos from Guy, Claire and James which should give you plenty of inspiration.
James has cooked a baked Camembert with french bread, tuna steaks with salsa verde, flageolet bean salad and roasted cherry tomatoes and lemon sorbet Martini which you make by simply pouring a shot of frozen vodka over a couple of scoops of shop-bought lemon sorbet.
Guy and Claire have made no less than 3 videos (60 points!!!) showing how to make a smoked mackerel salad with poached egg, steak with a ginger and orange marinade and wicked hot chocolate Love Cake.
Look for other suggestions in the Treats and Celebrations section which contains yet another menu - a
Voluptuous Valentine's menu for two (no knives or forks!) and some stylish
prawn and avocado martinis.
If you don't feel up to making a whole menu just make one dish and buy in the rest. Marks and Sparks it has to be said has some really great starters and puddings you'd be hard pushed to make yourself for the price but there is something special about taking the trouble to cook for someone you love . . . or merely fancy ;-)
FINALLY - a special one day Valentine's comp. Post your own Valentine's recipe or tips for the ultimate seduction dinner by 11.59pm tomorrow night (Friday 13th) on our
Facebook Wall and you could win a flashy ridged grill pan like James and Guy's. Usual rules - only UK entries, don't nick other people's recipes or stuff from other websites etc, etc. Bonus points for the most amusing/original entry.
