Storecupboard (and fridge) staples

If you’re off to uni or moving away from home here’s a list of the basic things you’ll need in the first couple of days plus some ingredients to make a couple of easy meals:
A jar of coffee
Teabags (don't forget mugs and teaspoons!)
Milk
Biscuits (optional but will obviously make you popular with the rest of the people in your kitchen)
Sugar
Bread
Soft butter or other spread
Honey or jam
Marmite (useful for making gravy as well as spreading on bread or toast)
Breakfast cereal
6 eggs
A pack of bacon
A pack of cheddar or other cheese
A few tomatoes
A couple of apples
A couple of bananas
Salt
Pepper
Cooking oil
A pack of spaghetti or other pasta shapes
A pack of long grain rice
Tin(s) of tomatoes
Tin(s) of tuna
A jar of mayo
Baked beans
